ECU has pulled off back-to-back wins, but the games have been far from perfect. Against Marshall, on September 18th, the Pirates trailed 24-21 coming out of halftime and got outscored by 14 point in the 3rd quarter. They had to rattle off 21 straight points in under eight minutes to capture the win. The following game against Charleston Southern had many of the same characterizes, as the Pirates found themselves down 14-0 early, then nearly blew a 17 point lead. Coach Houston is proud of his boys for battling through the tough times, but still wants to see them put together four solid quarters.
