With the Pirates starting off the season with a pair of losses there have been a lot of questions as to whether or not changes should be made. The offense is averaging 18 points a game so naturally those questions are surrounding the quarterback position. This past week against South Carolina Holton Ahlers went 11 for 24, he threw for just 77 yards and topped it off with two interceptions.
East Carolina head coach Mike Houston was asked why backup Mason Garcia was not given a shot in Saturday’s 20-17 loss to South Carolina. Despite the Pirates being in the game till the final play the Pirate fans have been at unease all week. – Phillip Pilkington
