Cincinnati enters the 20-21 campaign ranked number eight in the preseason A-P poll — which marks the highest preseason ranking rank for an American Athletic Conference team in the league’s nine year history and the first preseason top-10 ranking for the conference since Louisville was number nine to start the 2013 season.
